Who is behind STEAMedge?

The consortium brings together universities, vocational training centres, schools, teacher training organisations, and pan-European networks. Between them, they cover every angle of education, from the research that shapes policy to the classrooms where it all happens in practice.

The universities

Hellenic Open University in Greece, Ghent University in Belgium, UNED in Spain, the University of Latvia, and Roma Tre University in Italy lead the research, framework development, and teacher education programmes.

The vocational and training centres

Politeknika Txorierri in Spain, a vocational education and training centre with over 40 years of experience in advanced technologies, and Platon Schools in Greece, bring real classroom experience to the project, grounding ideas in what actually works for teachers and students.

The training organisations

IDEC in Greece and Fondazione Mondo Digitale in Italy design the learning environments, quality systems, and micro-credential infrastructure that make the training work in practice.

The European networks

EUROGEO, the European Association of Geographers, brings expertise in geospatial education and a network of over 12,000 contacts across Europe. ALL DIGITAL, a pan-European association focused on digital skills, connects the project to 110 member organisations across 32 countries, ensuring the results reach far beyond the 11 partners.
